Maplebrook School’s 32nd Annual Kentucky Derby Art Show
May 7, 2016
The month of May is reserved for Maplebrook’s Annual Art Show. The exhibit begins with an opening reception featuring both local and national talent using a variety of media (sculpture, painting, and photography), and concludes the following weekend.  Maplebrook continues to support the horse world and holds a Kentucky Derby party in conjunction with the Annual Art Show opening reception.  The Kentucky Derby lends even more enthusiasm to this premier spring social event taking place the first Saturday in May.  It includes a “LIVE” viewing of the Derby, great food, drinks, great art, lots of fun, and much more.

“Winter Warmer: The White Gallery’s Annual Group Exhibition”
Please join The White Gallery for its 2016 “Winter Warmer” exhibition. This annual group show features many of our represented artists of different styles and media. Some of the artists shown are: Sarah Martinez, Harry Rich, Debra Losada, Carolyn Edlund, Nancy Lasar, Janet Iffland, David Dunlop, Frances B. Ashforth, Joan Jardine, Kate Stiassni and Avery Danziger. This exhibition will rotate with new pieces frequently, so stop in throughout the winter as the exhibit will never be the same.

Northeast Community Center, 51 South Center Street, Millerton.  Home of the Dial-a-ride car available to residents in the local area.  Northeast Dutchess Transit is your one-call center connecting you to all your transportation needs in Northeast Dutchess County, including a new wheelchair accessible, curb-to-curb, Dial-A-Ride bus service. Northeast Dutchess Transit is available to all residents of the participating Townships. All you need to do is register and you are ready to ride!   Calendar of events include Mom’s Morning Out, Senior Exercise, Growing Together, and more.

Join us for our first Friday night BBQ at the Farm on Friday, May 29.
Indulge in BBQ classics with a Maple twist!  Flowers are in bloom, the sun is shining and the snow has finally melted. It’s officially grilling season! No better reason to get outside and take in the breathtaking Hudson Valley views! We’ll have all of the makings for the perfect outdoor celebration, from maple cocktails to craft beers and a feast of maple BBQ. Dinner will be served hot off the grill at 6:00pm. Don’t forget to save room for dessert: maple strawberry shortcake and everyone’s favorite: s’mores by the fire pit!  Adults: $30; Children under 12: $18       Reservations Required.
*Please note: In the event of inclement weather dinner will be served in the Sugarhouse.
